Description:

We are looking for a Sales Professional specialized in international road and intermodal transport to join our team in Neuss, Germany.

Main tasks

  • Acquisition of new customers as well as expansion and support of new and existing customers
  • Preparation and follow-up of offers as well as tender processing
  • Implementation of new customer business in cooperation with the operational teams
  • Presentation of offers and intermodal concepts to customers
  • Market analysis and monitoring
  • Reporting, documentation and monitoring

Ideal profile

  • Completed training as a forwarding agent or a comparable qualification
  • Sound professional experience in sales
  • Ideally market knowledge in international intermodal transport
  • Committed and result-oriented way of working
  • Confident handling of the relevant means of communication and common tools
  • Fluent in German and English (knowledge of Italian is an advantage, but not a prerequisite)

Gallarate, Italy

Description:

The employee will report hierarchically to the Traffic Area Manager of the Gallarate office of Ambrogio Trasporti S.p.A., will join a structured team and will be responsible for order management and customer care, organising and planning road and intermodal transport, managing flows and relations with colleagues in both Italian and foreign affiliates.

Typical activites

  • Data entry activities
  • Daily and scheduled management of customer orders, both on the internal management system as well as on the various loading platforms and/or customer management platforms (e.g. Transporeon, Transwide, etc.)
  • Managing relations with suppliers and customers
  • Transport management and continuous exchange of information with colleagues in foreign affiliates
  • E-mail flow management from customers and/or foreign correspondents

Ideal profile

  • Previous experience, gained in the operational area of structured companies operating (preferably) in the intermodal transport sector, oriented to the international market
  • Desire to grow professionally in full harmony with the growth of the company
  • Aptitude for proactivity and change

Required

  • Good knowledge of English essential, German and/or other foreign language welcome
  • Knowledge of Office package and familiarity in the use of management software
  • Ability to work in a team
  • Problem solving skills
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Flexibility and hourly availability
